A sprinkle of cocoa powder and a square or two of chocolatechocolate with toffee and sea salt is pictured finish each serving off nicely!
Instructions
For the whipped cream
Beat cream until just begins to thicken.
Add remaining ingredients and beat until soft peaks form.
For the hot chocolate
Place milk, cream, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and chopped chocolate into saucepan. Whisk constantly over medium heat until smooth and steaming.
Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and salt.
Top with whipped cream and cocoa/chocolate squares garnish.
Notes
For Mexican Hot Chocolate or Minty Hot Chocolate, add either a cinnamon stick or a few mint sprigs could be swirled into the steaming chocolate mixture, then removed before serving.Adapted from Deliciously Organic
